Valentine’s day is coming up! Which means that bars are on everyone’s mind: dark chocolate bars, milk chocolate bars, white chocolate bars, bars of pure love, y’know…! Bars! And they’re on our mind too, but we’re talking about a different kind of bar: shampoo bars.
Our product of the month happens to be one of the best products for your scalp, AND for the planet!
What’s so special about this kind of shampoo?
Shampoo bars are unique in the shampoo industry because they don’t contain all of the liquid that your average shampoo does, hence the bar form. But additionally, it’s the kind of shampoo that doesn’t use harsh chemicals on your hair and leaves it feeling silky smooth!
Granted, like all products, there are great ones and not-so-great ones. We’ve taken the guess-work out for you and sought long and hard to find the best shampoo bars, which is why we stock up Abhati bars in our shop!
Not only are they fantastic for the planet (Did you know that the average person uses 11 bottles a year?? That’s over 70 billion plastic bottles making their way into landfills every year!), but they’re gentle on your hair and sourced in such a way to provide you with excellent quality while supporting the planet and those in need.
Together, all of that makes the perfect Valentine’s Bar Gift for the eco-conscious gal (or guy!) which is why we’ve put our supply of Abhati Shampoo Bars 10% off for the whole month of January.
How Do I Use It?
While shampoo bars are different from regular shampoo, they’re not all that foreign! Here’s a few pointers on using these luxurious bars.
Step 1: Integrate
The first step for any shampoo is to integrate it into your hair. With a shampoo bar, this looks like running the bar from wet root to wet tip several times in order to gently rub some of the bar into your hair. Then you’ll want to massage along the strands in gentle motions to get your hair completely saturated.
Step 2: Wait!
Unlike most other shampoos, this shampoo is so gentle it takes a little bit of extra time to get the full cleansing effect. So once you’ve integrated the product into your hair, it’s time to give it a little maturation time and hold off on rinsing for about 1 minute. Similar to how you’d wait to wash conditioner out!
Step 3: Rinse
Like any other shampoo, these ones need to be rinsed out thoroughly. But unlike any other shampoo, they’ll leave your strands silky smooth and will actually take any sort of flaking scalp or oily residue with it.
